Goodbye to a dear Friend
February 25 was a tragic day for the Lotus Healing Seva Group family for it saw the passing over of Jyoti Patel. She succumbed to cancer, leaving behind a husband, son and daughter.
Jyoti was a founder member of the LHSG. Her sincere efforts, active participation, and excellent ideas right from the group’s inception through to the 4 years it had been in existence were instrumental in shaping what Lotus Healing Seva Group is today, an international network of healers.
Jyoti gave of herself selflessly to all who came to know her. She was always there with a listening ear, a helping hand and a loving heart. She shared her Love and Light with us here in Kenya, and in October 2009, migrated to the UK, to take up membership in our London Branch. But alas, it was not to be, for she soon fell ill.
Farewell dear friend, your presence is greatly missed. But even as we shed tears, we know you are in a better place and we are grateful for the time we had with you on this earthly plane.
Go with our Love and Light, dear Jyoti.

Introduction
We take so much from the Earth! The food we eat, the water we drink, even the air we breathe all come from Mother Earth. For aeons these systems have been kept ever fresh and filled with Life sustaining energy for our continued existence by Her. We owe her our Birth and our Life! It is therefore only fitting that we give back in gratitude to the Earth. And what better way to do this than by healing her with beautiful Spiritual Energy!
With this in mind, every discipline I teach - Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, Crystal Healing, Magnified Healing, Violet Flame and The Soul’s Journey Home - includes Healing the Earth.
About us
In November 2005, about 10 beautiful souls with Love in their Hearts, got together and decided to heal the Earth every week. We call ourselves ‘The Lotus Healing Seva Group’. Seva in Hindi means ‘Community or World Service’
Two years later, The Lotus Healing Seva Group had grown to 20 members in Nairobi, Kenya. Then in January 2008, we were joined by 3 members in Dubai. More recently, we are very happy to announce that in June 2008 we were joined by 24 wonderful caring souls in London and Leicester (UK). We have expanded!
As our numbers have grown, so have our activities.
Youth Group
15th December 2008 was a special day in the history of the Seva Group, for a brand new chapter was opened ... The Lotus Healing Seva YOUTH Group, made up of under 16’s Reiki Healers! For more information please click here.
Regular Activities
Once a week, on Thursdays, we do the following:
- We send healing energy to patients in three hospitals in Nairobi.
- We send healing energy to more than 50 chronically and seriously ill people on our ‘permanent list’
- We heal requests
- We heal ourselves and bless our homes and places of work
- We heal the Earth’s Consciousness Grid and send Unconditional Love to Global issues -- political, environmental, natural and man made disasters, etc.
- We heal the 5 elements of the Earth -- earth, water, fire, air and space.
Our healing work has had some wonderful results with the hospital patients as well as with individual requests.
Once a month
We visit hospitals to heal the patients.
Once a year
We hold a FREE REIKI LEVEL 1 Workshop around October or November.
In the last one we held (October 2007), 123 people signed up and got attuned to the beautiful energy of Reiki, completely FREE OF CHARGE! Please see the Events section for more details on upcoming workshops and details on previous workshops.

Events
In addition to our regular weekly, monthly and annual activities, we also organise and conduct special events. In the past these have included International 24 hour healing and prayer chains, charity fund raising and donation work and Energy Healing Group workshops. More details on specific events can be found in the ‘Events’ section.

It's free! Only your intention to heal is required. Don't worry if you are not able to join us on Thursdays, we will show you how you can participate on other days, in the comfort of your own home. And you don’t have to be a healer. Even non-healers can join. Also, you don’t have to be based in any of the locations where our current members are located. We welcome all your beautiful energies.
The more that join us, the more effective will be our healing. For there is great power in numbers. The more the people that heal the same intentions at the same time, the more powerful the result. The effect increases exponentially.
That is, if 2 people heal at the same time, the effect is not 2 times that of 1 person alone, but 2 to the power 2, which is 4 times that of 1 person alone.
If 5 people heal at the same time, the effect is 5 to the power 5 which is 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 = 3125 times one person healing alone!!
Presently, The Lotus Healing Seva Group has 46 members, so the healing power is 46 to the power 46 which is 46 x 46 x 46 x 46 46 x 46 x 46 ……………!!!!!!!
A tremendous force indeed!!
The same holds true for prayers.
There is a symbiotic relationship between all living things and on Earth. As we take, so must we give. This is the Law of Life.
Come, let us be true to this Law. Let us join hands together to love our Mother Earth. In this lies our spiritual progress, our purpose for living, the reason we are incarnated on this beautiful planet!
