| 17 & 24 July 2009 | 24 hour Prayer and Healing Chain |
| More than 200 people participated in this prayer and healing chain.Some sent healing / said prayers for 5 minutes, others for 10, 15, or 30 minutes, while others prayed for 1 hour or more. Some prayed all night in their Church! | |

| Kamal Tolia gave a talk on 'Success in Relationships' to the Ladies wing of the Lohana Club on 25th March. | |

| The first Youth Group field trip was to a babies orphanage on 28th Feb. 2009. They cuddled the babies and give them Reiki and unconditional Love. | |

| 9 Feb 2009 | Kenya Famine Crisis Fund Raising Drive |
| Kenya is undergoing a famine crisis due to absence of rains in October 2008. Thousands of people are starving and many have died already. A local Radio Station, East FM, conducted a fund raising drive for the famine victims. In the spirit of Seva, on behalf of the LHSG, member Vipon Bhakri, donated red beans, oil, maize meal and salt for our Kenyan brothers and sisters. | |

| 25 Jan 2009 | Reiki Level 2 Camp |
| 24 people took part in the Reiki Level 2 camp held 25 Jan 2009. All were blessed with the Reiki symbols and attuned to level 2 energy. They learnt distant healing for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ailments. | |

| 26 Nov 2008 | Mumbai Terror Attacks |
| As part of our Seva, the Lotus Healing group sent Reiki Healing energy continuously during the 51 hours of the attacks on Mumbai. Our hearts go out to the families, friends and loved ones of those who died in these senseless killings, and to the Mumbaikars and all of Mumbai. Although the operation has officially concluded, we continue to send Love and Healing Reiki and prayers to help Mumbai heal from this trauma. |

| 26 Sep 2008 | Feeding the Poor at Jalaram Temple, Nairobi |
| Every day, 800 – 1000 poor and destitute men, women and children come to this temple for a free lunch. For most of them, this is the one and only meal of the day. The Lotus Healing Seva Group UK branch donated towards this feeding programme and The LHSG Kenya branch members served the poor that came to the temple for their lunch on this day. |

| Amina Mohamed...a lady who lost everything, her children, her belongings, her house in the madness that occurred in the post election crisis in Kenya, when warring tribes were burning each others houses down! Amina herself, just managed to survive, minus her outer ears, with extensive burns. Her husband didn’t want her any more, her family disowned her, she had nowhere to go... The Lotus Healing Seva Group helped rehabilitate her by donating money covering 3 months housing rent, clothes and utensils so that she could start living in dignity again |

| The Internally Displaced People in Kenya were still living in camps in far from ideal conditions. The needs of women and girls were worse than they had ever been. The Lotus Healing Seva Group donated: 17 cartons of Sanitary Towels 500 jars of Vaseline 100 combs and 420 pairs of underwear |

| Following the Post election violence in Kenya in February 2008, hundreds of thousands of people were displaced in their own country. They were living in makeshift camps in unsanitary conditions. They had no clothes, no food, and worse, the women and girls were in desperate need of sanitary towels. The Lotus Healing Seva Group donated 14 bundles of Sanitary towels to ‘The Caravan of Hope Drive’ through East FM, a local Radio Station. | |

In February 2008, Kenya was going through some turbulent times following the post election crisis. Talks between the opposing parties were deadlocked, in spite of international peace efforts, and thousands of Kenyans were displaced refugees in their own country!! |

| We conducted a FREE Reiki Level 1 workshop. 123 people signed up and were attuned to the beautiful Energy of Reiki, completely FREE of charge. The participants made donations of maizemeal and sugar which was donated to the poor. The purpose of the event was 'to bring Reiki into the lives of people' so that they could better look after their health at the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels | |
